Poverty in the Rural Areas

No religion is higher than humanity(EDHI SAHIB)

“Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity , it is an act of justice” (Nelson Mandela)

Poverty is no doubt a global issue but 79% of people living in poverty are from rural areas.

When I looked around myself there are many families suffering from poverty. I realized that I have to work for them as all humane beings are created equal they must have all the facilities that I have. I contacted with one of the family and note down basic information . She is a young girl, mother of 5 children as she married in her early age her husband is a worker in construction site. He work hard but in these days we know, building new houses are almost stopped.

Poverty is not actually the lack of money it’s the lack of opportunities , lack of choices , lack of awareness and most importantly lack of hope.

And I think this family is in the 4th stage of poverty (lack of hope). I helped them as I can but I don’t want to share (sorry). I am trying to convince her to start a small business like boutique and her husband for meal on wheel ,still I am unable to convince them as I am not good in communication.

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a life.

The whole process look too much difficult but I think if I remain determine I would be able to explore this process from my village to another as my elder brother helped m a lot. I came to know that I am not good in communication and I have to improve myself , I also thought that I have to run a campaign on social media for funding as it help me to raise other families. As we end poverty, true prosperity begins INSHALLAH.

“Helping hands are better than praying lips” (mother Teresa)
